Our Jr. Leaders Take Charge

I was contacted by one of our Leadership students this week about how we could help a family in need. Many families helped with our efforts to collect donation before the holidays. But as everyone knows many people are still in need of our help. I am proud to see our teenage and junior leadership students taking action on their own to continue to help the community. The letter below was received earlier this week.

Dear ATA Parents/Students,

As you know our Tae Kwon Do school has been involved in our community. And in our community there are a lot of families with lack of money. I attend Union United Methodist Church. There is a family at our church. It’s a family of three. A mother, a father, and a 7 year old daughter. They live in apartment. They barely have any food or money. There apartment isn’t big enough for them. They need money or something to help pay their rent or else they will b e evicted on January 20th. And the last thing that my church wants is for them to be on the streets. So I know that this is a short period of time, but I am asking for any kind of donations. Toys, food, and check donations would be GREAT! The checks could be made out to Union United Methodist Church. And put in the donation box. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you so much.

Sincerely,
